Define the target country, operator and radio bands before comparing antennas. Then review antenna type, gain, radiation pattern, polarization, impedance, connector, cable length, mounting method, enclosure space and environmental exposure. The final evaluation should include the antenna in its intended enclosure or installation position because nearby materials, ground-plane conditions and cable loss can change RF performance.
Provide the modem or radio model, target market, operator bands and any required 4G fallback bands. A broad SUB-6G label does not confirm coverage of every band, so the selected antenna’s frequency range must match the deployed radio configuration.
Enclosure material, metal structures, ground-plane size, antenna spacing, cable routing and connector loss can affect efficiency, matching and radiation behavior. Validate the chosen antenna in the complete device rather than relying only on a standalone datasheet value.
