Evercom’s VHF/UHF category includes base-station, two-way-radio and amateur-radio product groups. These applications use different operating bands, mounting formats and coverage patterns. Select an antenna by the radio’s exact frequency range and installation requirement, then confirm connector, cable, gain, power and environmental specifications on the model page.
Provide the radio model, channel or band plan, required bandwidth, transmitter power and installation type. Compare frequency range, gain, radiation pattern, polarization, impedance, connector, cable loss, mounting method and environmental exposure. Base-station, vehicle and portable applications have different mechanical and coverage priorities. Dual-band operation must be confirmed explicitly in the selected specification.
Use the radio’s licensed or assigned operating frequencies, not a general application label. Two-way radios and base stations may be configured for different bands, so the antenna must match the exact channel plan and equipment.
Review mounting height, mast compatibility, cable length and loss, connector weather protection, grounding, lightning protection, wind exposure and the required coverage pattern. Confirm that the antenna power rating and frequency range match the transmitter.
